I attended Launch U in July of 2012 after joining a HealthSource office as an associate doctor. The content of the program and the material covered have truly grown me as a doctor and leader. Having been in practice for almost 7 years, I felt like I was a pretty good communicator with my patients. The techniques I learned to enhance my patient communication opened my eyes to a whole new, more effective way of getting patients to understand and engage in the chiropractic principles. I am excited to continually improve my communication style with my patients.
I have read many books on self-development ranging from Tony Robbins to Napoleon Hill to Wayne Dyer to “The Secret” and many more. The sessions we had at Launch U helped me get crystal clear on my goals and visions and helped me tweak my self-development and growth. I learned practical applications to improve my self-discipline so I can continue to improve myself daily.
The instructors are all passionate about their purpose, which is to help chiropractors achieve great success in practice and in their personal lives. Launch U is definitely helping raise the bar for chiropractic! My weekly follow-up phone calls with Dr. Bart helped me to implement many of the items we discussed in training into everyday practice. Every time we spoke he coached me on a different facet, opening my mind to a deeper understanding. I regularly had an “a-ha” moment on his coaching calls.
I continue to review the information book from Launch U and the notes I took while in training. I consistently find “gold nuggets” of information that I missed at the time because my evolution as a doctor has brought me to a higher level of understanding. Whether you are fresh out of chiropractic school or have been practicing for 20+ years, the transformation that you undergo in Launch U will amaze you. Anyone that truly wants to grow to the next level and beyond, you MUST attend Launch U.

I have been in practice for about 2 years with another practice management company before attending Launch U. Of those 2 years, I was an independent contractor majority of the time. Although I did gain a lot of experience there, I knew I needed more coaching to be able to help me get to the next level to own my own practice. After doing much research, I’ve discovered HealthSource which I was very impressed by. I then had the opportunity to open a clinic in Texas with HealthSource. It was a blessing to meet Dr. Bart Anderson & Dr. Damon Walton at the Launch U training that they sent me to for 2 weeks.
There we learned all the basics of how to launch a practice successfully. I’ve learned everything from marketing, patient conversions, communication, documentation, business success formulas, and much more. Even with the experience I’ve had prior, I gained a tremendous amount to prepare me for my launch. The great thing is the support doesn’t end after 2 weeks of training. It continues with Launch U calls to make sure we are continuing to grow! The support I get is unbelievable. As an associate doctor for several months I started to get the feeling that it was just a job and that it would not lead me anywhere for the future. I would not be there long-term as a partner and start creating the future I wanted for my family. The worst part is…this was not the first associate job that I had discovered was a dead end! I knew at that moment that I needed help to get the practice of my dreams, but I did not know how to get started. Fear paralyzed me from doing anything. I had friends who had joined different management groups with very differing results and levels of satisfaction. Other classmates had already failed in their own practices or were already out of the profession.
When I graduated from chiropractic school I thought the hardest part was behind me. I had spent years earning this doctorate degree and figured that now I would go make a great living to take care of my family. After all, in school I learned how to find subluxations, fix them, and even prevent them. As an associate doctor I soon learned that this was not enough. Not even close. I had no clue how to communicate this message so that it resonated with people and so they valued it. I did not know how to market my services to the public and I didn’t know that we would have to market so much to attract people into the door!
When I learned about HealthSource’s LaunchU program I was impressed immediately. They knew of the uphill battle chiropractors face and the lack of training we receive in running a business, marketing, and patient communication. When I first went through the LaunchU program, Dr. Bart and Dr. Damon spent two weeks with us to train me on systems and to help us gain new communication skills. I learned more at the LaunchU bootcamp than I did in 2 years of practice when it comes to acquiring new patients and retaining them through wellness care. They have continued to coach me to identify challenges and to overcome them. When I have a question or concern I am a phone call, email, or text message away from getting the answer. I could not have gotten this practice launched without their support and am grateful for the success they are still helping me to achieve!
Would I recommend LaunchU? Already have to many. Why? Because they have fast-forwarded the time it would have taken for me to progress to this point. Any young doctors coming out of school and those who have enough experience to see what it’s like to start a practice should jump on this. Dr. Bart and Dr. Damon will fill in the holes that you are missing to achieve success so that you do not have to invent the system yourself. Instead, take the time to learn a system that is proven and get to where you want to be faster!
